Police in Georgia say a teacher is in custody after officers responded to possible shots fired inside a high school in Dalton on Wednesday.
Police responded to a call of reports of “shot or shots” fired at Dalton High School just after 12 p.m. ET.

“No children are injured or in danger,” the police force said on Twitter.
Authorities said a teacher may have barricaded themselves in a classroom and the school was being evacuated.
“One student apparently sustained an ankle injury running inside the school during the evacuation,” Dalton police tweeted. “Student is being treated by EMS at the school.”
Police did not reveal what occurred inside the school but said a teacher was taken into custody.
The incident in Georgia comes on the same day classes resumed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., two weeks after a teenager used an AR-15 assault rifle to kill 17 students and staff on Valentine’s Day.
