“Piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, choirs, classical guitar, orff groups, recorders, a little bit of something for any kind of musical taste.”

In total, there are 30 different music festivals like these across the province where several smaller cities and towns are represented. Successful participants advance to the Manitoba Music Festival in May and then a select few will advance to the national stage.

The Winnipeg Music Festival is one of the oldest and largest of its kind in Canada.
