A small plane slid off the Abbotsford International Airport’s runway at about noon on Friday.
The King Air twin-engine aircraft was carrying 10 people.
It was an Island Express Air private charcter flight that was taking off en route to the U.S.

Paramedics were on the scene and they took eight patients to hospital in “stable condition,” according to B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) will investigate the incident.

The plane slid off the runway amid snowy conditions throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Enough snow fell and road conditions deteriorated enough that the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) cancelled all classes on Friday from 2:30 p.m. onward.
