A Vancouver elementary school teacher has been suspended over the use of a derogatory racial term.
The teacher at Trafalgar Elementary School on Vancouver’s west side is being investigated for allegedly distributing a worksheet with the N-word on it.

The Vancouver School Board said the teacher “has been removed from service” pending an investigation. They said they could not comment further for privacy reasons.
The Vancouver Elementary School Teachers Association said it is supporting the teacher through the investigation process.
