Canada’s starting goalie, Ben Scrivens, was injured in the second period and had to leave the ice.
Also late on Wednesday, the Canadian women came just a hair behind the United States in the bronze medal race of women’s team pursuit speed skating. The U.S. just started too fast and Canada couldn’t quite make up the deficit before the end of the race. So, Canada finished in fourth.
