One dead after crash near Esterhazy, Sask.

ESTERHAZY, Sask. – One person is dead and another injured after a crash this morning near Esterhazy, Sask. 

RCMP say the crash happened on Highway 22 east of the community just after 6 a.m. after a car and SUV collided on the icy road. 

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old Stockholm, Sask. man, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. 

Two vehicles that stopped to assist were involved in a minor collision. 

One person was taken to hospital as a precaution. 

Police say the weather at the time was blowing snow with high winds and reduced visibility.
