CALGARY- WinSport has officially opened a $4 million ski hill expansion at Canada Olympic Park.
The project adds a high-speed chairlift, three new runs and 30 extra vertical metres.
It allows WinSport to meet the standards of the International Ski Federation for the World Cup Women’s Slalom race and will also provide a world class training facility for Alpine Canada.

2010 Olympic Slalom champion Trevor White was on hand for the official opening.
“From the technical side of things it really compares to some of the best ski hills in the world,” says White.
The expansion was originally supposed to open last year but was delayed when WinSport failed to apply for a city development permit.
