Craigslist sellers robbed, pepper sprayed in Langley

Langley RCMP are warning the public after two people were robbed by potential Craigslist buyers while selling jewelry advertised on the website last month.

Mounties said the male and female victims agreed to meet a potential female buyer in the parking lot of Colossus on Jan. 27 at 1 a.m.

The buyer and a male companion arrived driving a light grey, older pickup truck with an extended cab.

When the seller showed the jewelry to the buyer – a necklace with a cross – the male suspect grabbed it and pepper sprayed the couple.
