The Fintry Queen still needs a home.
The city of Kelowna has turned down an application to move the old paddle wheeler from its temporary moorage to a location in city park.
The latest setback means it is less likely the floating tourist attraction will be back in service this summer.
Owner, Andy Schwab, had hoped to build new moorage for the vessel in City Park, but that proposal has been rejected.
The city is going to build a new downtown marina and the Fintry Queen is considered incompatible with the plan.
Last fall Schwab had to tow the Fintry Queen to Sutherland Bay to make way for the marina development.

Schwab’s deal with the city for temporary moorage in Sutherland Bay expires in October, but he says he’s been told the deadline can be extended if he doesn’t find permanent moorage by then.
