Snow closes schools

Some Manitoba school divisions are closing their schools today.

Prairie Rose, Garden Valley, Sunrise, Pine Creek, Seine River, Hanover, Red River Valley, Lord Selkirk, Border Land and Interlake school divisions are all closed today due to snow.

Calvin Christian School is not running buses but the school is open. Brandon School Division has cancelled buses outside of the city.

Sagkeeng First Nation has also closed all schools and Sgt. Tommy Prince School on Brokenhead First Nation and Ginew School in Roseau River are also closed.

Buses are not running in rural Manitoba for the Franco-Manitoban School Division except in St. Lazar.

The private King’s School in Winnipeg is closed today, but not due to the weather. The school is closed because it has no water.

There are also windchill warnings this morning across much of southern Manitoba.
