Crews knock down 3-alarm fire

TORONTO – Residents of a west-end apartment building were forced out of their units late Thursday by a three-alarm fire.

Fire crews were called to 57 Mabelle Avenue, in the Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West area, at around 11:30 p.m.

Smoke was visible coming out of one of the apartments in the highrise.

TTC buses were brought to the scene to provide shelter to residents.

Toronto EMS did not report any injuries.

The cause of the blaze and the extent of damages is not yet known.
