Officers searched the Cherry Lane shopping centre around 5:45 after an unconfirmed report someone in the mall had produced a firearm.

The threat did not prompt an evacuation but police walked the length of the mall and talked to shop keepers.
Nothing was found to substantiate the threat and Cherry Lane was given the all-clear after about 15 minutes.
