About 100 residents evacuated as fire destroys Laval seniors residence

LAVAL, Que. – There were no apparent injuries after a fire at a seniors’ residence in Laval, Que., on Friday evening.

Police say about 100 residents were forced out of the building in the community just north of Montreal.

They were placed in buses.

It appears the fire started on the roof of Residence Ste Rose.

There’s no word on what triggered the blaze.
