REGINA – Several businesses were evacuated after a natural gas line was struck at a City of Regina operations yard.
The two-inch line was ruptured at around noon, forcing the evacuation of nearby buildings.

A spokesperson for SaskEnergy says the gas is safely venting into the air.
Sixth Avenue was closed between Albert Street and Smith Street while crews dug to fix the leak.
Repairs were expected to take all of Friday afternoon.
