Police say the 58-year-old victim was discovered by an acquaintance that went to check on him, after being unable to get in touch.

An autopsy determined Span died from stab wounds.

Police have charged 37-year-old Michael Stanley Charles Mitchell, 37, of Raymond, and Addison Nickoles Wakefield, 21, of Lethbridge with one count each of second-degree murder.

Police allege the death was targeted, and drug-related.
