Liberal candidate Justin Trudeau stops by Saskatoon

SASKATOON –  Wascana Member of Parliament (MP) Ralph Goodale welcomed Federal Liberal leadership candidate Justin Trudeau on his campaign through Saskatoon on Tuesday.

“I’m convinced that Justin has the toughness, the work ethic and the brainpower to lead the team that will defeat Stephen Harper in 2015, and then serve as a very successful Prime Minister,” said Goodale.

At noon, Trudeau spoke at the Hilton Garden Inn to give his support to the ‘Idle No More’ movement.

He also spoke about the reasons he’s against the construction of the Northern Gateway Pipeline and his views on current issues within the federal government.

“What we need to do is make sure politics is about demanding more, we need to deamd more from our leaders, from our representatives, we need to demand more from our neighbours and our communities, but mostly we need to begin to demand more of ourselves,” said Trudeau.

Goodale said he’s proud of all nine of the Liberal Party of Canada’s leadership candidates.

Trudeau stops by Saskatoon just after fellow candidate Martha Hall Findlay’s visit on Monday.

They both will be campaigning throughout Saskatchewan.
