Guelph police are investigating a collision involving a female pedestrian Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Willow Road near the Hanlon Expressway at around 3:20 p.m. and the victim was taken from the scene by paramedics.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to Guelph General Hospital. She was later airlifted to another medical facility for treatment.
The vehicle stopped and remained at the scene. Police have determined that speed and alcohol were not factors in the collision.

It’s not known if any charges will be laid against the driver.
