Hamilton police are investigating after a man was shot on the east Mountain.
At around 11 p.m. on Saturday night, police were called to the area of Crockett Street and Upper Sherman Avenue for a report of two men arguing on the street.
Shortly after, police received information that there were possible shots fired in the area.
Arriving on the scene, officers didn’t immediately find anyone, but after searching the area, police found a man in his early 20s behind a building suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was taken to hospital, where it was determined that his injuries were non-life threatening.
Police say the victim isn’t cooperating with police and they believe the man’s injuries were a result of the confrontation overheard between the two men on the street.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police with any additional information.
