Second-degree murder charge laid after remains of missing woman located at southeast London address

A 25-year-old London man has been charged with second-degree murder after remains discovered by police at an address in southeast London on Friday were confirmed to be those of missing 26-year-old Josephine “Josie” Glenn, police said Saturday.

Glenn was reported missing on Monday night and had last been seen in the Clarke Road and Culver Drive area around 3 a.m. Sunday. Officers responded to an address on South Leaksdale Circle after receiving information about her possible whereabouts, police said.

At the address, police arrested a man and located human remains. The remains were later confirmed to be those of Glenn, police said.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged Oluwatobi Boyede, 25, of London with one count of second-degree murder and one count of offering an indignity to a human body.

No further information has been released and police say a publication ban has been issued in the case.
