West Kelowna RCMP have caught up with a man wanted in connection with an incident on Okanagan Lake last summer.

That’s when police received several reports of a group of people on four personal watercraft who were swamping boaters.

In one incident, one of the suspects swamped a boat while doing a ‘power-slide’ and knocked a two year old into the water.

In another incident one of the personal watercraft struck a boat.

Police later learned that the personal watercraft were rented.

“The RCMP investigation revealed the company from which the personal watercrafts were rented and later returned to,” Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said. “Anonymous tip information from the public, also aided in the development and eventual conclusion of the police investigation.”
