Perimeter lockdown lifted at King George Community School in Saskatoon

A perimeter lockdown at a Saskatoon elementary school will be lifted at the end of the school day.

Saskatoon police said staff at King George Community School in the 700-block of Avenue K South received a voice mail threat at around 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday.

Officers have been on scene investigating the threat made to the school.

No injuries have been reported.

Four other schools in the area were also placed under a perimeter lockdown but those have since been lifted.

Police said investigations into who made the threat are ongoing.
