Police say November and December are especially active months for deer because of their breeding and feeding patterns.
Drivers are reminded to scan ahead from shoulder to shoulder on the roadways, to reduce their speed especially at night and to brake firmly if an animal is in your path.
Officers say you shouldn’t veer in an attempt to avoid an animal.
