UPDATE: The missing teen has been found safe and sound.

Chilliwack RCMP is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 13-year-old boy.

Alec Townsend, 13, was last seen on Oct. 19 by a family member in the 5900-block of Vedder Road.

“Police and family are concerned for Alec’s wellbeing and believe he may be in need of medical attention,” said Cpl. Mike Rail, spokesperson for the UFVRD.

Townsend is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 160 cm (5’3”)
  • Slim build
  • Short dark hair
  • Last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket, blue jeans, and sketcher shoes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alec Townsend is urged to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
