Surrey RCMP say a 14-year-old girl died from a possible drug overdose on Oct. 6.
Cpl. Scotty Schumann says RCMP responded to a call about a teenager in distress at an apartment building in the Surrey Central area before 9 a.m.
“We executed a search warrant looking for any potential evidence that seemed to point to an offence. One person of interest was initially detained for questioning but has been released without charges. The investigation is still ongoing,” said Schumann.
