St. Thomas police raids find fentanyl and thousands in cash

Thirty fentanyl patches and several thousand Canadian dollars were found after St. Thomas police raided a residence in the city’s south end.

Police also searched and seized two motor vehicles that contained large amounts of Canadian currency.

The street value of the fentanyl seized is estimated at $8,000.

Robin Shelly, 52, of St. Thomas has been charged with trafficking of a controlled substance.

Raymond Versteeg, 31, of London has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both remain in custody and police say additional charges are forthcoming.
