ANTIGONISH, N.S. – RCMP in Nova Scotia say an officer responding to a call Friday morning lost control of his cruiser on a snow-covered road and slammed into a concrete barrier in Antigonish.

The Mountie was later released from hospital.
The accident happened around 5 a-m as the officer’s patrol car crossed train tracks on East Main Street and spun out.
The car then hit the barrier, which in turn crashed into a grocery store, causing considerable damage.
