RED DEER, AB. – RCMP have located 12-year-old Sonya Chipaway, who they asked the public for assistance in finding earlier Friday.
She was last seen in the Glendale area of Red Deer.
RCMP received a missing persons complaint at around 6 am on Jan. 9. Officers say Chipaway reportedly left the Glendale area on foot and has not returned. She was last seen wearing a white and pink winter coat, blue jeans and white shoes.
She is described as:
– Native
– Approximately five feet tall
– 100 pounds
– Long black hair
– Brown eyes
– Has a tattoo of a flower on her left hip
At around 2:45 pm Friday, RCMP said they had located Chipaway.
