A woman who was found in medical distress in a Saskatoon Police Service detention unit cell has been released from hospital.
Police said the woman’s condition had improved and she was released from hospital over the weekend.

The 31-year-old woman was arrested early in the morning of Oct. 4 and charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking.
She was found unresponsive in her cell around four hours later and taken to hospital where staff found an unknown substance concealed on her body.
It has been sent for analysis.
Police said the woman had been assessed prior to her being placed in detention and regular checks were done prior to her being found unresponsive.
The major crime section is investigating with oversight from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice.
