Police in Halifax are looking for a man who randomly attacked another man in broad daylight in the city’s downtown.
According to Halifax Regional Police, a 36-year-old man was walking in the area of Spring Garden Road and Queen Street at about 1 p.m. on Oct. 2 when he was approached by another man.

The suspect punched the victim repeatedly in the side of the head. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital.
Police say the suspect was seen leaving on a Halifax Transit bus travelling on Route 1. Officers checked several buses but were unable to find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black man, between the ages of 20 and 40, with short dark hair and a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket and tan cargo pants.
