Tara Veer has been re-elected as mayor of Red Deer with a landslide 16,581 votes, beating out challenger Sean Burke who earned 2,172 votes, according to unofficial results released Monday night.
Michael Dawe, Tanya Handley, Dianne Wyntjes, Lawrence Lee, Buck Buchanan, Ken Johnston, Frank Wong and Vesna Higham have been elected to council.
