Man dies after being struck by semi-truck on Highway 7 outside Saskatoon

Warman RCMP said a 37-year-old man who was struck by a northbound semi-trailer unit on Highway 7 has passed away.

Police were called to a pedestrian collision just east of Range Road 3064 at around 4 a.m. CT on Saturday.

The Saskatoon-area man was found and taken by ambulance to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Global News attended the crash scene Saturday morning and found a crashed SUV on its side in a nearby field. Warman RCMP have confirmed that the lone driver of the SUV was the pedestrian struck by the semi-truck.

The collision is under investigation with the help of an RCMP traffic reconstructionist and the office of the provincial coroner.

As of 5:30 p.m., Highway 7 had reopened.
