8-year sentence for man convicted in Olympic Plaza stabbing death

A Calgary man has been sentenced in a stabbing death at Olympic Plaza four years ago.

Robyn Greg Gladue, 36, was brutally attacked on July 26, 2013.

William Littlechild, 24, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the case.

In March, a jury found Littlechild guilty of manslaughter.

According to Alberta Justice, he was sentenced Wednesday to eight years in prison. With credit for time already served he has under two years remaining.

After his sentence, Littlechild will be subject to two years probation.
