A peaceful end to an hours-long standoff at a home in the Mission Heights area of Grande Prairie.
RCMP said it began around 12:53 a.m., Sunday, with reports of a man possibly armed and barricaded in his home.

Local officers were joined by the Police Dog Services, and eventually an Emergency Response Team out of Edmonton.
The Crisis Negotiating Team went to work, and around 1:35 p.m., the suspect walked out of his home and surrendered peacefully.
Charges are pending, with the man’s identity being withheld.
