A crash in West Vancouver has caused significant damage to a local fire hall.
A Jeep slammed into the hose tower of fire station No. 3 in the 4800-block of Marine Drive on Saturday at around 11:45 a.m.
No one was inside the fire hall at the time of the crash as firefighters were out training.
The vehicle has not been moved as engineers assess the building’s structural integrity.
Police allege the driver ran from the scene. A 23-year-old Burnaby man was arrested a short distance away.

WATCH: Surrey family waits for limo to be pulled out of home
Saturday’s crash was similar to an incident in Surrey last weekend that saw a limousine crash into a home near 144 St. and 74A Ave.
Six people were inside the Surrey home at the time, but it took days before the limo was removed as engineers assessed the structural integrity of the home.
