Saskatoon police say they arrested a 14-year-old boy a few blocks away from where people were suffering from the effects of bear spray in the downtown area.
At around noon on Friday, officers were called to the 100-block of 3rd Avenue North for a report of a physical altercation in progress.

Numerous people were found suffering from the effects of bear spray.
Police said the suspects had also fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Shortly after, bicycle patrol members located the teenager who matched a suspect description from witnesses. A can of bear spray and marijuana were found in his backpack.
He is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of probation, breach of an undertaking and possession of a controlled substance.

No other arrests have been made.
