B.C. filmmaker Twyla Roscovich missing for more than a week

UPDATE: The body of missing B.C. filmmaker Twyla Roscovich has been found, according to members of her family.

There is growing concern about a popular B.C. filmmaker who has now been missing for more than a week.

Twyla Roscovich, 38, was last seen at a bank in Campbell River last Thursday but friends and family have not heard from her since.

Friends say she left Sointula on Malcolm Island on Sept. 6.

Her car, a dark green 1997 Volvo 850 station wagon, has now been found in Campbell River near the Quadra ferry.Friends and family believe she may be on Quadra Island or Cortes Island.

They are very concerned about Roscovich and have been posting updates on her Facebook page.

RCMP say in a  release Roscovich was last seen on the morning of Sept. 6 when she advised she was going to seek medical treatment. Police say she texted to tell friends and family that she would be car camping and possibly going to Nanaimo.

Police do not confirm her car has been found but do say she was in the Campbell River/Quadra Island area on Sept. 7 and 8.

Roscovich is described as Caucasian, 5’9, 161 lbs, with blue eyes and brown hair.
