SASKATOON – A number of areas in central-west Saskatchewan are under dangerous winter weather warnings as a storm sweeps across the Prairies.
According to Environment Canada, snow and very strong winds are will continue blowing through west-central Saskatchewan into Wednesday night.
A strong storm system developing over central Alberta will lead to southeast winds coming into the province at 50 km/h to 80 km/h.
Visibility will be deteriorating with hazardous driving conditions due to slippery roads and blowing snow throughout the area. Some highways in The Battlefords region are already reporting near zero visibility as of late morning.

Towards the evening, near blizzard conditions with near-zero visibility are expected to become widespread.
The Battlefords and Meadow Lake regions should be expecting around 10 cm of snow, while the more southern regions might get 5 to 10 cm tonight.
Winter conditions should gradually improve by Thursday.

- Meadow Lake – Big River – Green Lake – Pierceland

- Île à la Crosse – Buffalo Narrows – Beauval
