Danish man dies at Omemee beach

A man from Denmark has died after he was pulled from Pigeon Lake in Omemee on Wednesday evening.

Kawartha Lakes OPP and emergency personnel were called to the Omemee Beach at the municipal park, for a possible drowning.

Police say a 63-year-old man from Denmark, who was visiting family in the area, was recovered from the water, near a partially submerged kayak. He was transported to hospital but was pronounced deceased.
