Emerys change bail conditions and are back to work

The so-called ‘Prince and Princess of pot’ are now able to freely roam the country after getting bail condition variations following a hearing on Wednesday, August 30.

Cannabis Culture’s Jodie Emery says it’s frustrating to deal with her first criminal drug charge when the federal government has promised to legalize recreational marijuana.

“Peaceful Canadians are being given criminal records, which cause a great deal of harm when the government says they’re going to no longer criminalize that very same behavior in the near future. It’s either disingenuous or cruel for the government to continue enforcing these laws.”

The conditions also allow the Emerys to return to work in a legal fashion for the Cannabis Culture brand.

The couple will be speaking before the Health Committee on Parliament Hill in two weeks, as it reviews the Cannabis Act.
