It’s been exactly one year since Rickey Walker, 48, was killed in Dartmouth.
Walker was found in medical distress behind John McNeil Elementary School on Leaman Drive during the early morning hours of Sept. 1, 2016.
He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Walker was fatally shot. However, police have never said how many times he was shot or where he was injured.
In the days following his homicide, officers could be seen scouring the area looking for evidence but would not release what clues they have found in connection with Walker’s death.

Police say they are still actively working to solve Walker’s murder but are asking for help from the public.
Investigators say they believe there are people who have information that they have not yet provided to police that could help solve the murder, and hope that the passage of time may encourage someone to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
