Calgary police release photos of man accused of grabbing woman in Shawnessy Walmart

Calgary police are hoping to identify a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at the Shawnessy Walmart last Tuesday.

Officers were called to the shopping centre in the 300 block of Shawville Boulevard S.E. at around 10:15 p.m. after a woman was grabbed by a man.

Police said the woman was shopping when she noticed a man following her. In a news release, police said the man stood in front of her and “touched her without her consent.”

The victim was able to free herself and report the incident to two nearby shoppers.

After reviewing CCTV footage, investigators believe that the same man also attacked another female in the store at around the same time.

Police describe the suspect as being approximately 25 years old, 5’10” tall and clean-shaven. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a long grey hoodie.
