Malala Yousafzai, the 19-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner, has graduated high school.
The teenage activist has also joined Twitter under the handle @Malala, where she says she’ll continue to fight for female education.
“Graduating from secondary school (high school) is bittersweet for me. I’m excited about my future, but… I know that millions of girls around the world are out of school and may never get the opportunity to complete their education,” she said.
“On and off Twitter, I’m fighting for girls – will you join me?”
Yousafzai, who is an honourary Canadian, started fighting for girls’ rights to education when she was just 11; that’s when she started blogging about the issue.

Malala Yousafzai becomes honorary Canadian citizen
She became internationally known after she was shot in the head by a Taliban militant in 2012,due to her outspoken advocacy for girls’ education.
She was flown to the U.K. for treatment, and then stayed in the country to finish her schooling.
Yousafzai also said she will be back on her Girl Power Trip initiative where she’ll continue “to spend as much time as possible meeting with girls around the world and fighting for their futures.”
The Malala Fund says she’ll be studying at college in the fall, but doesn’t specify which college.
