The Wade Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up in his honour.
In line with Smith’s reputation for having a positive attitude and being a family man, his online obituary for Smith stated:
“In lieu of flowers Wade would suggest you spend time with your children and loved ones, toast your great friendships, keep things simple, keep things smooth, and keep things moving.”
