The first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has arrived, showing off the first footage of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk forced into a gladiatorial battle.
The teaser opens with footage of Thor on the brink of death and closes with the face-off against his friend, the Hulk.
“We know each other!” Hemsworth’s Thor yells. “He’s a friend from work.”

The new trailer, released on Monday, also introduces Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death, played by Cate Blanchett.
“Asgard is dead,” Hela tells Thor’s homeland.
The trailer also finds Thor’s hammer Mjölnir destroyed by the new villain Hela, while Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song plays in the background.
Many Thor fans took to Twitter to express their excitement for the film’s release.

Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster, one of the Elders of the Universe, are also introduced in the trailer.
The teaser features some familiar faces including, Thor’s adopted brother Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theatres on Nov. 3, 2017.
