Fire destroyed a lakeview home south of Vernon overnight and all the owners could do was watch it burn to the ground.
Owner Susan Tanner says the fire broke at the Bailey Road area home at around 10:30.
She says several calls were made to the local fire departments but they refused to attend because the house was out of their jurisdictions.
Fire officials say they sympathize with Tanner, calling it unfortunate but say the home is in a non-coverage zone.
Neither Tanner or her boyfriend were injured.
