A 33-year-old London man is facing charges after police received four bogus 911 calls over a roughly five-hour span.
All of the calls claimed numerous individuals armed with weapons had entered residences and businesses on Wharncliffe Road and Wellington Road.
The investigation began when police were called to a residence on Wharncliffe Road South at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

“A male contacted police claiming numerous individuals walked into the address carrying weapons. Approximately 45 minutes later, police received a second call to the same location reporting individuals had returned to the address,” said Const. Michelle Kasper.
“At approximately 12:40 a.m., the London Police Service responded to a business on Wellington Road after a male contacted police reporting individuals had entered the business carrying weapons. A male contacted the London Police Service a short time later reporting similar reports at another business on Wharncliffe Road South.”
Police say the investigation revealed the calls were false. The suspect is facing four counts of mischief.
