The arrival of two new technology companies in London and the expansion of another are being applauded by the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC).
Vehikl, a software-consulting firm based in Waterloo, and Clausehound, a legal-document software business from Toronto, are planning to open new offices on King Street in the coming weeks.
Both will be setting up shop in Innovation Works with just over a dozen new jobs being created.
“It’s great news, and again confirms the fact that with over 300 companies and over 9,000 employees, London is certainly developing a very strong hub for digital creative companies,” LEDC president Kapil Lakhotia told AM980.

“We are hosting numerous events throughout the year to connect talent and industry, to help grow this sector even further. And it was at one of these events that some of these new attractions to London came together.”
The next event hosted by the LEDC is Techsposure on Tuesday afternoon at Rum Runners on Dundas Street.
Meantime, Platero Visual, a London-based video-production company, is opening a new studio on King Street. Lakhotia said talent is the No. 1 driver of growth in this sector and noted that the new Fanshawe College downtown campus for digital and performing arts is a big asset.
“When you have creative companies like these you need that talent to stay glued to attractive components, whether it’s cultural amenities, recreation, art, entertainment, and a host of other things that are available downtown; that helps retain the talent here.”
