Editor’s note: This story originally stated the ice castle would be closed indefinitely. However, on Monday afternoon Ice Castles announced it would reopen the attraction Thursday evening.
The ice castle in Hawrelak Park will be closed for the next few days after warm weather and rain over the weekend.
After some maintenance, the popular winter attraction will reopen Thursday evening and remain open through the weekend during the evenings only.
The attraction will shut down for the season on Sunday, Feb. 26.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to navigate this unpredictable weather,” Ice Castles said in a Facebook post.

Those who pre-purchased tickets for the castle on Monday were asked to check their email for more information.

Updates on the castle’s status will be made on the company’s Facebook page.
The ice castle opened on Dec. 30, 2016. The attraction came back to Hawrelak Park this winter after major success in winter 2015/16.
