Fares on STC will be going up for the second time in less than a year.
The crown bus company has announced a 4.56% increase in passenger fares beginning January 3, 2013.

The average increase per ticket will be $1.45 based on an average one-way trip of 188 kilometers.
“The increase reflects the need for STC to recoup some of its increased costs and at the same time, deliver on the company’s mandate to serve Saskatchewan,” STC CEO Shawn Grice said.
The last STC fare increase was on April 1, 2012.
