It’s opening night for a classic Winnipeg theatre that has spent the last two decades in the dark.
The Metropolitan Theatre is reopening its doors Friday. It has been under renovation for two years. The $16 million project has reinvented the heritage building.
Canad Inns now owns the theatre and says it will now function as a modern restaurant and event centre. The official opening is at 7:30 p.m.
